How to make creamy rice pudding in a Bamboo IH rice cooker

Who doesn't like creamy rice pudding? Ever tried making it in a rice cooker?

It’s true a level up in flavour and ‘yum’iness! For this demonstration we make the rice pudding in our Bamboo (8 cup) rice cooker but the recipe can be easily adjusted to scale for use in other rice cooker sizes. Please refer to your Yum Asia rice cooker user manual for the recipe and quantities related to your rice cooker.

Ingredients required for 8 cup Bamboo model:

1 cup arborio rice

1 cup cold water

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup coconut milk

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cinnamon stick

1 lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

sprinkle of ground cinnamon

Vegan adaptation – this can also be made without the evaporated milk and condensed milk as a nondairy alternative. Use one whole tin of coconut milk and some non-dairy milk to loosen it after cooking if necessary
